Every year distinguished designers, architects, industrial designers, art critics and other professionals from the field of design and production undertake to select the best projects from among thousands of entries.
Good Design Award Recognizes Thousands of Designers and Manufactures for the ‘Best of the Best’ in New Global Design for Consumer Products, Environments, Graphics and Packaging.

Emmanuelle Andreani
Emmanuelle Andreani, the architect behind « La Cité des Climats et vins de Bourgogne » in Beaune, France, has received numerous international awards : the Green Good Design Awards in 2023, the BLT Design Awards in 2023 and the LIV Hospitality Design Awards in 2022.
She was at the top of her class at ENSAIS (Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Arts et Industries) in 1993 (best diploma in France, 1st prize from the Academy of Architecture, 1st prize Robert Camelot and 1st prize form the Mutuelle des Architectes Français) and she also holds a DEA (state diploma of architecture) of gardens, landscapes and territories.
Emmanuelle was nominated for the French prizes “Première Oeuvre” and “Équerre d’argent” for the music school of Tassin-la-Demi-Lune, France. She has also designed and created the Saint Thomas church in Vaulx-en-Velin, France, numerous facilities such as La Plaine Grand Champs school group in Paris or the Polygone in Lyon, as well as hundreds of housing units for diverse project owners.
Treasure Hinds
With a keen feel for usability, sculptural form and style, Treasure Hinds is one-half of Anvil Studios, a boutique industrial design studio located in Seattle WA. Over the past 15 years, Anvil Studios has brought over 50 products to market, holds numerous patents, and has been recognized with over 100 design awards (GOOD Design, Spark Awards, IDA, IDEA, iF Award, and Red Dot Award).
Prior to Anvil, Treasure designed for some of the world’s most well-known design agencies and technology companies, including Microsoft’s Hardware Group, Siemens Medical (designafairs GmbH), and frog design. She has lived and worked around the globe, from San Francisco to Munich to Shanghai. Treasure has served on the design juries for both IDEA and Spark Awards, and in 2017 she co-curated the Good Innovation International Design Exhibition in Shenzhen, China. Treasure holds a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Design from Western Washington University, where she serves on the ID program board of advisors.
Tapio Anttila
(b. 1962) is a versatile freelance designer based in Lahti, Finland. Anttila works extensively in the fields of product design, concept design and interior architecture. He is particularly interested in Finnish wood and the modern ways of working with it, whilst still respecting tradition. In furniture design, he focuses on functional pieces for the home and public spaces.
After years of working as an in-house designer, Anttila established his own business ‘Design Studio Tapio Anttila’ in 2005. Anttila’s clients include numerous Finnish companies and also Italian companies such as Riva 1920. His products has been available in design stores throughout Finland and around the world, for instance at the MOMA Design Store in New York.
Recent developments in Tapio Anttilas career include the ‘Tapio Anttila Collection’, his own product concept, and a colabotration with the finest Chinese furniture brands together with Finnish designer Jonas Hakaniemi under brand ‘Anttila & Hakaniemi’.
Anttila’s designs have received several high-profile
international design awards, including twenty one Good Design awards for various products, three Green Good Design awards and two EcoDesign awards for sustainable design. In 2012 Anttila was awarded the Furniture Designer of the Year by Ornamo, the Finnish Association of Designers, and in 2018 Kaj Franck Design Prize by Design Forum Finland.
The ecological aspects of design are the core values for Tapio Anttila. Simplicity, aesthetic form, language and functionality are the best words to describe his designs – and not forgetting subtle humor.

Ross Wimer
Founder & Creative Director of Benedetti Architects, an award-winning practice in Clerkenwell, London with wide ranging projects in many sectors including: cultural heritage, hospitality, housing, bridges and urban design. Their recently completed British Academy of Film & Television Arts (BAFTA) Listed II headquarters on Piccadilly has won 13 international + national awards. They were recently appointed to re-design the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) Listed II* headquarters at 66 Portland Place, London.
Born and educated in Canada, Renato worked as a stonemason & bricklayer before studying architecture at the University of Waterloo, Canada (his thesis was published by Shimizu Japan) and completing his RIBA part 3 qualification at Cambridge. While studying he worked at practices in Canada and Italy, as well as for BDP & YRM in London, and upon graduation, for 7 years as an Associate with Sir David Chipperfield Architects, before starting his own firm.
His wide public profile includes roles on Design Review Panels for the London Boroughs of Southwark, Wandsworth, Lewisham, and nationally for the Design Council. He is a fellow of the Royal Society of Arts. He is on the national Architecture Club committee and was a London Festival of Architecture founding committee member.
He is an experienced RIBA Competitions judge, as well as for many other awards, for instance at this year’s World Architecture Festival in Singapore.
Michele Menescardi
Michele Menescardi is an industrial designer based in Milan. During his professional experience, he has collaborated with various design and architecture studios, creative agencies, schools, and companies, spanning product, furniture, lighting, graphic, and packaging design.
Son of an Engineer and a Chemist, he studied Industrial Design at the Politecnico di Milano. After graduating in 2004, he started his career as a freelance designer, developing each project from ideation to production. In 2005, he founded MrSmith Studio, for which he has been designing for nearly ten years. In 2012, the projects “Basil” and “Cream”, designed for Calligaris S.p.A., were awarded the “Interior Innovation Award” by IMM Cologne and the German Design Council.
Since 2014, he has been running Michele Menescardi Designer, his independent design consulting based on a bespoke philosophy and located in the heart of Milano. In 2016 his project “Lazy”, designed for Calligaris S.p.A., was awarded the prestigious “Good Design Award 2016” by the Chicago Athenaeum Museum of Architecture and Design. His project “Reef”, designed for Connubia, was awarded the “Best of Neocon Sustainability Award 2022” and the “Best of Neocon Innovation Award 2022” at the Neocon Show in Chicago, with the “Archiproducts Design Awards 2022” in the categories of Furniture and Sustainability, along with the “iF Design Award 2023” by the iF International Forum Design GmbH and the “Green Good Design Award 2023” by the Chicago Athenaeum Museum of Architecture and Design.
Luke Pearson
Co-Founder and Director of Pearson Lloyd; award-winning product, furniture and innovation design studio, featuring clients such as Lufthansa, ThyssenKrupp, BENE, TAKT, City Of Bath, & Teknion.
Regularly serving on international panels at design events throughout the world, and juries for design competitions, Luke is currently a member of the independent Design Advisory panel for High Speed 2 (HS2) rail network, and advisor for Asia Design Platform (ADP).
Alongside Tom Lloyd – of Pearson Lloyd – Luke was awarded the distinction of Royal Designer for Industry by The Royal Society of Arts, and subsequently went on to be named in the top 50 designers ‘Shaping the Future’ by Fast-Co Magazine in New York. In 2022 Luke was bestowed as Honorary Doctor of Design by Nottingham Trent University.
Kasper Meldgaard
Kasper Meldgaard, a native of the picturesque northern region of Denmark, is a multi-faceted individual who has traversed a unique journey through life. Born into a warm and caring family with two brothers, he developed an early penchant for creativity, craftsmanship, and engineering.
Kasper’s story is marked by a relentless pursuit of knowledge and a self-taught design acumen, which complements his engineering background. A graduate from Aarhus Universitet with a degree in Business Administration and further studies in Civil Engineering from the Engineering College of Aarhus, Kasper’s diverse educational foundation laid the groundwork for his future success.
As the co-founder and Managing Director of Says Who, a prominent Danish design studio with a dynamic team of 15 designers and engineers, Kasper Meldgaard, along with his partner Nikolaj Duve, has made a remarkable impact on the world of furniture design. Says Who is known for its unique approach to creating innovative solutions for global customers, rooted in the traditions of Scandinavian design. Collaborating with retailers, brands, and manufacturers, the studio consistently delivers designs that balance aesthetic appeal with market values.
Kasper’s passion for design extends far beyond the boardroom. Currently residing in Aarhus with his wife and three sons, his family life is an integral part of his journey. They are currently embarking on a six-month sojourn in Asia, seamlessly blending work and home schooling amidst the backdrop of diverse cultures and landscapes.
Away from the drawing boards and travel schedules, Kasper indulges in his love for travel, design, running, and watersports. His zest for life and innovative spirit continue to drive him, both personally and professionally. In the ever-evolving world of design and engineering, Kasper Meldgaard is a true visionary, dedicated to creating beautiful and functional solutions that enrich the lives of people around the world.
Michele Menescardi
Jon Pickard has been recognized internationally for his achievements in architecture. He has designed or collaborated in the design of some of the world’s most recognized buildings, including such prominent projects as the ExxonMobil Global Campus in Houston, Texas; Mutual of Omaha’s new headquarters in Omaha; HPE’s headquarters in Houston; Northwestern Mutual’s headquarters in Milwaukee; the Devon Energy Center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; UBER Sky Tower in Los Angeles, California; 1180 Peachtree in Atlanta, Georgia; 300 North LaSalle in Chicago; the CalPERS Headquarters Complex, in Sacramento; and Wells Fargo’s headquarters in Des Moines, Iowa.
Prior to the founding of Pickard Chilton, he collaborated with Cesar Pelli in the design of numerous landmark and award-winning projects, including two of the largest commercial developments ever built: the World Financial Center in New York, and Kuala Lumpur City Centre in Kuala Lumpur, a development that includes the Dewan Filharmonik, Malaysia’s National Symphony Hall, and two of the world’s tallest buildings, the Petronas Towers.
Mr. Pickard received his Bachelor of Arts in Architecture from Iowa State University and his Master of Architecture from the Yale School of Architecture. Iowa State University awarded him its Design Achievement Award (1989) for distinguished contributions to the arts, and the Christian Petersen Design Award (2007). In conjunction with William Chilton, he is co-recipient of the 2011 Iowa State University Distinguished Alumni Award, the highest honor given to alumni by the University. The Gerald D. Hines College of Architecture at the University of Houston recognized Jon Pickard as its 2006 Honoree. He regularly serves as a visiting critic at Yale University and has led an advanced design studio at Iowa State University. He has lectured extensively at academic institutions. Mr. Pickard currently serves on the Yale School of Architecture Dean’s Council.
