DIRAC Nanotechnology has launched the AlberoAir Collection, the first family of air purifiers with an exclusive design in Paulownia wood, aimed at eliminating pollutants from our homes, workplaces, and common areas with style and in an eco-sustainable way. The AlberoAir Collection features special nanofilters that maximize the photocatalytic reaction effect. The specific alveolar geometry of the filtering system allows for maximum surface area exposure to ions, guaranteeing the rapid, efficient, and effective purification of air. AlberoAir eliminates odors, harmful chemical compounds, allergens, viruses, bacteria, formaldehyde, dust, mold, hair, and combustion gases quickly and efficiently.
The sculptural design of the AlberoAir Collection bears the signature of Italian architect Giancarlo Zema, known for his innovative eco-sustainable architecture and biomorphic design. His goal was to create a design that emulated the shape and breath of trees. Paulownia wood, chosen for the radial structure of the deflector blades, is a plant that absorbs the most CO2 in the world, about ten times more than ordinary trees, with extremely rapid growth times.
The collection includes two models: AlberoAir HOME, suitable for domestic use and designed to be placed on consoles and desks, and the SPACE version, which is larger and intended for office and coworking areas. The natural and elegant design adapts to modern and contemporary furnishing styles, and the internal LED system provides delicate ambient lighting. All AlberoAir functions can be managed via an app that monitors air quality, purification mode, and light intensity.
Additionally, the URBAN version is available for indoor and outdoor waiting areas in large infrastructures such as stations, airports, and museums. This version provides purified relaxation areas with a large technological tree, under which users can rest on a circular seat equipped with individual electrical and USB sockets to recharge devices. This oasis offers a bubble of purified air, sounds of nature, the scent of wood, and vertical greenery at its heart. A sophisticated internal system extracts water from humidity in the air, ensuring self-irrigation of the plants, while photovoltaic panels on top of the canopy provide energy self-sufficiency.
The collection was created in collaboration with Paulownia4Planet, a brand dedicated to reforestation of Paulownia woods for over ten years. For each AlberoAir unit produced, a Paulownia tree will be planted to further positively offset the carbon footprint. Additionally, forests will be equipped with birdhouses and beehives to accommodate migratory birds and pollinating insects. Planting new trees means sowing new life and generating the possibility of a better future.
