Legendary Italian design house, Pininfarina, recently partnered with Florense, Brazil’s premier high-end furniture brand in the creation of the Arco kitchen collection. Featuring curved shapes and unique colors, the new line created a global mark at the Flagship Florense Gabriel in São Paulo.
Florence unveiled the collection in honor of its 70th anniversary and chose to partner with Pininfarina due to their widely known brand collaborations with Ferrari, Maserati, Rolls-Royce, and more. The Arco kitchen collection presents a new look and approach to kitchens, and was inspired by nature and based on the elegant minimalist style characteristic of the two brands.
The collection was developed in four unique colors — Aria, Bosco, Mare and Terra — and ranges from large furniture to accessories that make up a kitchen to complement its surroundings. Among the products developed are the pantry with a refined wine-bar and the large island equipped with an unexpected bar and cocktail area which works with a lifting system to stay hidden when not in use.
One of the most striking features of the Arco collection is the aluminum profile which Florense developed hand-in-hand with Pininfarina to ensure unique finishes in all of the materials. Another special detail in the pantry is the curved glass doors that complement the design of the furniture, adding a key layer of complexity and innovation to the project.
Beyond aesthetics, Pininfarina focus on designing the experiences and special moments of living around the kitchen. The rounded shapes of the modules enhance the gathering and flow of people in the kitchen space and provide a harmonious transition between living and cooking areas.
