It’s been four years since the release of the BIONOMICS 4000 GRIP. We have made many grips, but the 4000 model has a special asymmetrical shape that provides the most comfortable grip performance. In 2025, the BIONOMICS 4100 GRIP, a wide thumb rest and palm-rest model that uses thick wood to achieve better fit performance, will be brought to the market for further improvements. The total length is the same as the old 4000 grip, but the butt part at the grip end that allows for double hand hold is now a hold-compatible type.
The main material is wood, and petroleum-based materials are used with metal parts that are reusable and easy to recover, with as much as possible. By avoiding the use of resin as much as possible, this product can be durable for over 50 years, unlike products with a short durability of about 20 to 30 years due to hydrolysis and other factors. Functionally, it is a functional product that is ahead of the world’s cutting edge future.
This product features a unique thumb rest for precise reel rotation control by the thumb, along with left and right palm rests that make holding the reel easier and more comfortable. Its shaft mount is specially designed to position the rod shaft near the reel’s centre of gravity, improving balance compared to typical grips.
The triggerless frame reduces finger strain by distributing pressure evenly instead of focusing on the index finger, helping to reduce fatigue during long use. Additionally, the reel’s position on the frame can be adjusted forward or backward for better thumb control and greater stability over extended periods.
