Costing $2995 it is designed specifically for feature films, television and documentaries, and possesses a full frame 6K sensor and riggable ‘box camera’ form factor that can be easily tailored to suit any shooting scenario.

PYXIS 6K is an ultra-portable Hollywood-grade digital film camera ideal for an array of production workflows. Pared back for discrete angles in confined spaces, a hand-held ‘run-and-gun’ setup, drone-mounted or fully rigged, it can be customised for any situation. This adaptability, paired with Blackmagic Cloud integration, offers the ultimate creative freedom to shoot exactly how the user likes, where they like, whenever they like.

PYXIS 6K features a built in hardware streaming engine for streaming to major platforms like YouTube, Facebook and X, or directly to clients via high speed Ethernet or 4G and 5G mobile networks. Stakeholders and post-production teams, regardless of their location around the globe, can now monitor shoots remotely in real-time.

At $2,995, it costs less than a mid-range DSLR, yet has all the tools required for professional shooting. The cubic form and tactical visual narrative are underpinned by an external chassis, precision CNC machined from aircraft grade aluminium.

This structural enclosure safeguards internal components, while acting as a rigid mounting surface for various rigging setups and an accurate datum for the sensitive full frame 6K image sensor. This modular architecture allows future variants to be easily produced in response to technology developments or workflow needs.

With three lens mount options: Leica L-Mount, Locking EF and industry standard PL, the PYXIS 6K is compatible with the largest range of consumer and professional lenses in the world.
