Blueprint is a time capsule in the age of climate duress.
Blueprint is a testimony to the earthy blues.
Blueprint is a 52-page broadsheet that transforms into an exhibition paper sculpture of a Cyanometer.
The Cyanometer was a tool created by Horace Bénédict de Saussure in 1789 to measure the blue tones of the sky and the sea in 52 colour hues.
This special publication is what the author calls an ‘Exhibition in Print’. The pages of Blueprint fold into paper airplanes, paper boats and paper hats.
Blueprint visualizes in a macro scale and with metaphorical paper-crafted objects, the 52 hues between blue and black that the cyanometer once did.
This visualization is done by transforming the 2D pages of the newsprint into a 3D paper object in 52 blueish variations. From the sea to the world to the sky.
Blueprint is first a blue paper transformed by human finger-folding, as the world is constantly transformed by human intervention.
