The Cappadocia Cutlery Set was designed with inspiration from the ancient city of Cappadocia in Turkey, famous for its geographical texture and air balloons.
Air balloons are used as a starting point in the design to create a design in the context of the “Streamline” line, which is the corporate design approach of the Karaca brand.
With this context, it is aimed to create sympathy for the product in users by using Cappadocia’s historical, geographical, and cultural value. The soft lines of the set provide ergonomic use in the interaction of the product with the user.
When the knives in the set are brought together, they take the shape of an air balloon, just like a spoon. Through this gamification, it is aimed to maximize the user’s perception and to create sympathy for the product.
With this gamification detail, the product creates a timeless aesthetic, as in the texture of the Cappadocia city, and harmony at the table. 316 steel used during the production process that is also used in the aerospace industry makes the product more durable and allows for long-term use. Through using this material, it is also aimed to contribute to sustainability.
