DESIGN
Mediterranean craft immerses us in a rustic, brutalist environment that’s stripped away and sun drenched, made of rough-hewn natural materials, where local craftsmanship is prized. This bohemian style reinterprets the art of living on the shores of the Mediterranean. Composed of essential ingredients: materiality, visual texture, simplicity, home, family, memory, nature, and atmosphere.

The Claudia saucer, hand sculpted with a soft gradient emerging from a carved arc provides a resting spot for the Estala cup, hand thrown and altered to provide an indention for the thumb. Each shape simple in form and articulated with handmade gestures in clay.

COLOR | SURFACE: LAYERED AND REVEALED

A soft neutral palette with visual layered textures, the surface mimics the look of aged Mediterranean architecture. Each layer applied by hand with thoughtful brushstrokes, one white and one with the color of terra cotta being the color of warmth from clay being revealed below.

SURFACE APPLICATION
The brushed surface, a layered aesthetic revealing history and materiality visual texture and depth – create a tableau where the poetic and scientific side of tableware influence each other. The technique becomes a reductive language of minimalism and brutalism with a soft and effortless disposition.
