Drawing inspiration from up-mountain design, the PEAK1 2-Burner Camping Stove makes it easy to bring your gourmet game to the great outdoors. Clever design elements including streamlined wind protection and few moving parts make for a durable, easy-to-use, and efficient piece of gear that will last for years. A clean, elegant profile and easily removable parts make post-cooking clean-up simple. Every bit of space counts when packing, so this stove has a slim profile to save room, as well as a sturdy handle, and a foam case that protects it during storage and transport.
It has a slim design with minimal setup; the compression molded foam case with handle is easy to pack and carry. The burners use a stair-stepping design and added flame holes for faster, more even cooking.
Coleman has been a leader in camping stoves for over 100 years. The PEAK1 2-Burner Camping Stove honors this heritage while reimagining a better experience from the ground up.
The new stove architecture employs a minimalist sheet metal cooking deck that naturally provides great visibility for the burners and control knobs. The cast iron pan supports with integrated windscreens are removable to allow for fast cleanup. This innovation is apparent at first glance, the product clearly stands out from the competition.
Another common shortcoming of many camping stoves is poor flame control, especially when attempting to simmer. To address this issue, The R&D team developed new gas valves for the stove that provide significantly better flame control from simmering to boiling while reducing the required knob rotation, so the user has more confidence while cooking.
Most camping stoves either don’t have a handle or it is awkwardly hidden under the chassis. The PEAK1 Stove has a prominent and easily accessible handle plus a compression molded soft carrying case with a zippered pouch for the gas regulator which makes it extremely portable and convenient for vehicle-supported camping.
The PEAK1 2-Burner Camping Stove has several key areas of innovation and improved performance.
The design and usability teams conducted consumer immersion evaluations with current and competitive products. These assessments led to the following key project goals: Seamless set-up experience — ensure each piece fits and functions as users would expect.
Intuitive cooking experience — enable true understanding of temperature control and flame settings Straightforward cleaning — minimize nooks and crannies where grime can build up
Solid pack-up experience — give users confidence that all parts are contained and secured Annoyance-free transport — thoughtfully consider how parts may rattle or protrude.
The final product’s innovative architecture addresses all these goals:
Set-Up — minimalist design with no hinged cover or wind guards is extremely simple to deploy and rotary ignition easily lights the burners
Intuitive Cooking — improved valves and knobs provide great flame control with 20,000 BTUs plus the unobstructed cooking area ensures clear visibility and accessibility even with large pots
Cleanability — the pan supports snap off easily and the top surface wipes off effortlessly Pack-Up — the limited number of parts and included carrying case make this a breeze Transport — the slim design and soft case eliminate any rattles or protrusions while carrying.
In addition to the performance improvements, the stove’s simple construction with limited moving parts is extremely rugged and durable is a key point of differentiation from traditional camp stoves.
