Inspired by design studio Afteroom’s Swedish roots, the Crux collection is focused on Scandinavian simplicity. Essential and elegant, Crux is constructed from oak wood and tubular bent steel and consists of a chair, bar and counter stools and round and square café, bar and counter tables.
The Crux chairs and stools are available in armless and armed models, and the seat is
available in white oak and upholstered options. One of the key unique features of the Crux chair and stool is the way that the pieces’ wood and steel elements connect and come together. The two materials coexist in elegant harmony, creating organic, intriguing curves and shapes throughout the design.
The Crux chair features a gently curved and formed wood backrest that creates an inviting, warm shape that provides comfort and support. The Crux tables have a unique four-legged base whose legs start as a center column and then separate out from one another.
Each steel table leg possesses a slight curve, proving that bent steel furniture does not always have to be so rigid. The table’s column also features a circular metal connection point that efficiently joins all four pieces of the table together.
The Crux collection is certified carbon neutral and uses FSC wood.
