DAL-e Delivery is a robot mobility solution to execute delivery tasks in a robot-friendly building. Its minimalistic rounded square shape offers a compact yet optimal space for storing items. The cabin in black smog color is harmonized with the metallic-colored body, creating a simple and futuristic look. The LED display at the top shows its state, allowing for intuitive engagement with users.
The robot features a top display, hidden front lighting, and rear line LED lighting, enabling users to identify its current state.
The cabin to store items has two doors. When receiving an item, they open to both sides, and a tray is pulled out.
The bottom driving part offers autonomous driving, utilizing cameras and sensors. PnD modules offering a 360° rotation maximize the robot’s efficiency.
-New delivery solution using PnD modules
The robot offers delivery services for food and beverages or packages, highlighting the value of connecting people. To ensure safe motions its center of gravity is positioned in its lower part, and it has a rounded square shape, with the lower section wider than the upper one. Its four PnD modules allow for a 360° rotation and maximize the robot’s efficiency by providing optimal mobility.
– CMF suitable for spaces
The robot achieves a minimal and simple appearance by applying only elements required for driving and providing delivery services. While the necessary cameras and sensors are exposed, the number of exposed elements is minimized to maintain the simple appearance. A combination of black and metallic silver colors is chosen for a futuristic look, which is suitable for a robot-friendly smart building.
– UX for both functions and emotions
The robot has UX elements designed for various situations, enabling its interactions with users. The display at the top allows users to identify its state whether it is in motion, being charged, or loading/receiving items. At the same time, its LED eye expressions convey a friendly impression. For safety, the rear line LED lighting indicates the robot’s driving state. Upon arriving its destination, the greeting lighting of the storage box activates, illuminating the item inside. Beyond simply passing items to customers, this provides them with special purchasing experience.
