After speaking with contractors, many showed hesitation to install flush baseboards. Previous solutions were expensive, difficult to install, and required a lot of back and forth between trades. Turn keys kits that may provide the cleanest install have limited options for compatible baseboards. Existing universal options lack a method of locking the trim to the flush extrusion, making perfect parallel lines very difficult.
The Flush Trim Mount [Lite] is made from a seamless, vinyl extrusion that can easily be cut into custom lengths. Equipped with a drywall bead, once installed, the Flush Trim Mount [Lite] seamlessly blends into the surrounding drywall using familiar taping and mudding techniques.
Once the edge is blended into the drywall, any preferred baseboard can be added by simply cutting a shallow groove at the desired height, guaranteeing a straight, consistent profile. The Flush Trim Mount [Luxe] offers the most flexibility in appearance allowing for a reveal sized anywhere from 0-0.875 inches. This reduces the need for back and forth between trades, making the Flush Trim Mount [Lite] easier for DIYers to achieve a look normally reserved for custom, high-end homes.
