The Prismatic™ Golden Hour Collection is thoughtfully designed with a hint of elegance. Inspired by the classic Brazilian ‘Copo Americano’ and German ‘Weizen-style’, these tumblers each uniquely use their shape to enhance the grip and make them easy to hold, as well as having a silicone base for soft landings.
These vessels are made from 18/8 recycled stainless steel, are double wall vacuum insulated. Inside, the Prismatic liner design features a glass-like prism effect refracts light like a flawless gem and evokes images of rays of the sun in the beverage inside.
Reminiscent of the beautiful beaches of Brazil and brings a sensory input and delight to your beer drinking experience. The Stanley winged bear adorns this premium collection, and etched inside of each tumbler is our founder William Stanley, Jr.’s signature.
This new product offering in Stanley’s ‘Golden Hour’ barware line continues to draw inspiration from the essence of the classic Copo Americano glass and adds Stanley’s unique design point of view. A timeless favorite first invented in 1947 by Nadir Figueiredo for the Brazilian consumer. It is seen as an icon of Brazil and part of the country’s history (The name ‘americano’ refers to the machinery imported from the United States that was used to produce the original pieces).
Preserving history while building toward the future our team took a human centered approach that allowed us to evolve this classic design into a product that would resonate with the Brazilian market. The collaboration with Brazilian teams was paramount. We utilized collaborative research, global and local consumer insights, heaps of subtle iterations and prototypes. This unique combination of design thinking, category expertise and global collaboration allowed us to establish a strong point of view and continue to drive product excellence.
It was as equally important to the design of the Weizen-style glass to maintain the history. The subtle curves of the Weizen-style glass with its narrower rim gently releases the beer aroma towards the drinker, the design team worked to keep this distinctive feature and maintain the optimal drinking experience.
Numerous design iterations ensued, focusing, and finessing the subtle shaping to hone the optimal experience. User testing sessions and collaborations again with our Brazilian teams lead to the final design iteration which has extra room to help with larger volumes and for beers that form larger heads such as wheat beers.
