The goal: Deliver the Best Value to Enterprise customers. This required a full redesign of the chassis, the screen, new considerations about battery and charging power, and how to manage heat. Heat reduces performance. We also committed to using more recycled content than the previous year.

We had some product goals we had to achieve: 1. New ID /Chassis 2. Full Thermal Redesign 3. 16:10 4. 300n Panels 5. Dual Battery Strategy 6. Total # of Ports 4 (2TBT4 & 2 USB-A), charge using USB 7. Dual camera: FHD & 5MP+IR This required a completely new design from the beginning.

We changed to support a two battery strategy – either 48watt hour or 56 watt hour can be used. We removed the old charging connector and use USB-C PD. the old charger was 45 watt. USB is 65 watt or higher, and we provide 100 watt charger.

HP Fast Charge is supported, 50% of the battery is charged in 30 minutes. A full thermal redesign now makes the computer run quieter and cooler. The trackpad and keyboard are spill-resistant. The cameras auto-frame the person speaking so that you’re always in frame.
