Smeg and Stefano Boeri Interiors present “Isola: where Technology and Design shape new horizons”, a collection of induction hobs, with and without an integrated hood, and a high-tech suspended hood system with a revolutionary, elegant and luminous design.
The induction hobs, all characterised by elegant rounded edges that define their uniqueness, are available in different configurations.
The Alta version is the flagship of the collection, an authentic jewel of design characterised by an LED light insert that can be activated independently of the function of the hob. Thanks to this illumination that defines the perimeter of the hob, the glass surface emerges as a protagonist, becoming a central and prominent element in the kitchen.
The hobs of the Alta version are distinguished by their elegant 20 mm frame, available in customisable black, dove grey or satin stainless steel finishes. Here too, different configurations are available, among which the 83 cm hob with frame and integrated downdraft hood.
Thanks to 17 power levels, the Isola induction hobs offer extremely precise temperature control, enabling excellent results even with delicate cooking in three times faster than with conventional technology. For example, thanks to the booster level – which can be activated for up to 15 minutes – two litres of water reach boiling point in just four minutes.
To ensure an optimal user experience, all functions can be operated easily and intuitively via the five-inch TFT colour display. This includes special functions such as the Pasta mode, which emits an acoustic signal when the water reaches boiling point and automatically sets a timer according to the set cooking time. There are also Boiling functions, Steaming, Frying with three power levels, Holding function and Grill, using the optional grill insert.
The hood integrated in the 83 cm hob is equipped with eight power levels and two boosters, that ensure maximum suction performance with a low noise level. The Fan after run function keeps suction active even after the hob is switched off, helping to eliminate even the most persistent odours. In addition, the long-life charcoal filters can be easily removed from above without having to dismantle the kitchen baseboard and can be regenerated up to eight times in the dishwasher. A warning light alerts the user when it is time for periodic cleaning.
