The delta robot KUKA KR 3 HM is used for precise and quick handling and picking of goods under highly sensitive, hygienic conditions. It specializes in applications with strict health and safety requirements in industries such as food, medicine, household chemicals and electronics.
Thanks to its design properties and the harmlessness of the corrosion-resistant, polished stainless steel components, it is certified according to international guidelines. It can therefore be used without hesitation in the food and pharmaceutical sectors, as unwanted contamination is excluded. Even direct contact of the robot body with food and medication is permitted.
The hygienic design made of highly polished and dirt-repellent surfaces with a roughness of max. 0.8 micrometers offers no chance of germs adhering and can be cleaned perfectly even under high pressure.
All surfaces are arched so that cleaning and disinfecting agents can flow away unhindered and no standing water remains on the machine.
The seamless design is free of discontinuous shape transitions and the edges are rounded with sufficiently large radii so that there are no surfaces for contamination.
The robot has no edges, gaps or transitions in which particles could accumulate. The seamless design is free of undercuts and rounded off with sufficiently large radii so that there are no surfaces for contamination. There are no external cable connectors and the supply lines are also food-safe and designed to be easy to clean.
The KR 3 HM works reliably in a cylindrical work area with a diameter of 47.3 in (1.200 mm) and a height of 10 in (250 mm). Its load capacity is 6,6 lb (3 kg).
