M.2000-SWM is a series of handles featuring a perfect combination of functionality, ergonomics and modern design with compact shapes. They are typically designed for assembly on machine doors or machine guards in the industrial sector.
These new handles integrate into a single product the basic function as a component for opening/closing doors or machine guards, the function of column signal multicolor light, and the function of the control box with safety contacts in 2NC (Normally Closed) or 1NO (Normally Open) + 1NC (Normally Closed) configuration. Versions with direct output of the electric cable or standard connector are available.
The oval cross-section of the handle and the properly designed press button with the right proportions provide an ergonomic and safe grip together with a correct operation for the operator’s hand even when wearing work gloves. IP 67 Protection class against the intrusion of dust and immersion in water under stated conditions of pressure and time. High-impact resistance material makes this handle suitable for assembly in an industrial environment. Modern and elegant lines offer the possibility of a suitable aesthetic combination on the most current industrial machines. A smooth surface finish makes cleaning operations easier.
Safety in the workplace plays a central role and requires the implementation of all useful measures to minimize the risk of workplace accidents. To achieve this goal, even the smallest component can significantly contribute to the construction of machinery and equipment in which the operator’s safety is effectively guaranteed. Together with quality, ergonomics, and aesthetic-formal care of the products, ELESA places safety as a top priority on the corporate value scale in designing components. The electrical and mechanical characteristics of the microswitch button allow these handles to be integrated into a safety system. With the appropriate electrical connection, it is possible to configure the color of the LED strip to indicate the status of the guard (IEC 60204-1)
Example: – red: immediate action required to address a hazardous situation – green: normal operational conditions – yellow: wait, machinery shutting down or in a transitional phase – blue: operator has made operation request (example: pressing key) By pressing the button, the operator requests access to the protected area through external logic: the power supply circuit is interrupted for allowing in the operator with the maximum safety.
To design the polycarbonate diffuser, a detailed optical analysis of light reflection was carried out. The results allowed us to guarantee the best possible homogeneity of the LED light without the glimpsing effect of the brightest points. Non-stationary heat transmission analysis have been carried out to ensure the best and fastest possible dissipation of the heat generated by the LEDs. The electronics have been conceived to keep the color emanating from the LEDs constant even by varying the operating temperatures of the handle. To ensure excellent thermo-mechanical and impact resistance of the product, each component has been designed using an advanced FEM (Finite Element Method) structural simulator. Furthermore, to offer the maximum aesthetic result, a simulator for filling the cavities of the moulds with the plastic material for injection moulding was used.
