MXP7000/MXM7000 delivers TETRA and 4G LTE broadband voice and data communications in secure, rugged wearable or vehicle based Android devices. This series is specifically designed for police and military applications where mission critical incidents demand instant voice communication and timely access to information. Users connect instantly via push-to- talk while ruggedized touchscreens enable a variety of applications for optimal workforce productivity. MXP7000/MXM700 converges voice and data formats into single devices for a simplified, central communication lifeline to keep users and communities safe and informed.
Idea In addition to traditional two-way radios, users are increasingly equipped with smart phones, vehicle terminals, and other communication devices. This provides a wealth of information but can overwhelm users in critical incidents. Designers were tasked to simplify and consolidate these tools to enhance user concentration on relevant activities using the best method possible at the moment (voice, video, text, GPS data, database lookup, etc.). This effort eliminates devices, weight, and complexity allowing users to master one central point of contact for all communication needs. MXP7000/MXM7000 enables users to focus on tasks and not tools.
Form Familiar two-way radio elements include a large push-to-talk button, tactile rotary control, and prominent Emergency button. These elements invite immediate, intuitive use in high-intensity situations. MXP7000 establishes a visual bridge between consumer smartphone and mission-critical two-way radio. Aggressive ruggedness specs (MIL-STD-810H/IP68) drive the design aesthetic with overstated controls and optimized protection zones around the display. Simple forms promote ease of handling and wearability. MXM7000 provides a mobile mounted option for vehicle-based users. The form is compatible with vehicle interiors and mounting systems.
Ease of use and operational efficiency are accomplished with the following: -The large push-to-talk button lets users connect for instant voice communication in a manner they are already familiar with from two-way radio training. -Sealed, removable battery on MXP7000 eliminates the need to stop and charge as users can carry spares in the field. -3 microphone + Loudspeaker beam-forming technology allows clear transmit and receive audio in noisy and windy conditions. -5-inch touchscreens run applications to optimize workforce productivity. Android OS is familiar to users and requires minimal training.
The MXP/MXM devices avoid “dead zones” by connecting to an LTE network if the TETRA network is unavailable. This works with the same PTT button and user interface and is transparent to users. -A large dual-function rotary knob provides tactile/blind operation for volume or channel selection instead of demanding screen attention. -Managers can use Wi-Fi for remote device programming and updates. Planned upgrades that previously took weeks are now accomplished in a few hours. Instead of physical hands-on programming each device is updated when within range of its assigned Wi-Fi. This reduces the downtime associated with upgrades.
The MXP/MXM Series delivers the mission-critical communications essential to the success of organizations such as the German Armed Forces who have deployed this solution as they digitize land-based operations. This ensures fast and efficient communication in all areas of the field. This solution benefits society by providing users and organizations with enhanced awareness and connection to assure safety and order. Sustainability is enhanced as the convergence of technologies in MXP7000/MXM7000 enable organizations to reduce deployment and subsequent disposal of multiple devices in favor of single unified wearable or vehicle solutions.
