Today, modern operating rooms are increasingly equipped with sophisticated technologies, and sometimes devices require extensive training and long installation procedures.
The ORIGO control unit is an innovative product that offers the possibility to connect and switch between 3 motors at once simplifying the surgeon’s operation through automatic motor recognition.
The ORIGO system is a software-controlled surgical system that uses micromotors, instruments, and motorized handpieces to electronically guide their movements while cutting soft tissue and bone and delivering irrigation fluid to the surgical site.
The simplification of the user experience was a key objective of the project due to the number of tools and the diversification of the functions to be managed. ORIGO works with NANO, RAPIDO, 80K micromotors and their attachment and burs, PM PERFO and perforator tool, OSSEOSTAP and S120 and its shaver blades and burs.
The big touch interface area is intended to assist the user in quickly setting parameters.
The motor connectors are positioned to be aligned to the instrument selection area through an immediate visual link with the screen portion immediately at the spore, automatically showing the handpiece in use and its parameters.
The minimal graphic of the interface, the coherent layout, and the blue color used to highlight selected functions are built to facilitate value reading and efficiency during parameter setting. The rounded geometrical shape is designed to frame the frontal operative area.
The combined foot pedal, enables surgeon independence, with full control of irrigation flow and the most useful functionalities for each surgical need.
The product is equipped with a power cable and irrigation stand.
The soft rounded handle hidden on the back is designed to give the product a perfect grab and balance during transportation or to support the device fixation to the IV pole thanks to the pole clamp mounted on the back side.
All the design details work together to provide easy access and ergonomics to the product.
Soft touch black finishing and the overall clean geometry bring a premium appearance to ORIGO which brings a new hallmark in the surgical field.
