In designing Palmera, which is Spanish for palm tree, Stark Scott Studio was influenced by the ancient Caribbean craft of making hammocks, known for their comfort and utility, reductive materiality, and tensile strength.

The gestural lines and tapered legs of the lounge and dining chairs, which is repeated in the complementary dining tables, subtly mimics the curve of a palm frond, elevating the differentiated and timeless aesthetic. Leisurely Comfort The captivating movement of the Palmera rocking chair creates an instant, tranquil escape.

The curved, relaxed seat cushions hug the frame and the occupant, and the placement, shape and conformity of the built-in lumbar support enhances the leisurely comfort.
