Aluminum-cases have been largely replaced by backpacks over the past 10 years. As the market leader, PAX has been a key market driver for this development through high quality and continuous innovation. Ease of transport, robustness and price have had a significant influence on this market change.
The poor cleanability and relatively high weight were often criticised – largely due to the conventional sewing technology. After several years of development, these shortcomings were remedied with the new generation P5/11 – 2.0. Thanks to indestructible welded joints between the robust outer materials, it was possible to create a smooth-surfaced volume on the inside that is easy to clean.
At the same time, the overall weight was significantly reduced. The modular inner pockets are no longer held in place with difficult-to-clean Velcro, but with neodymium magnets. On the one hand, the design continues the very successful predecessor line and, on the other, adds new elements that were only made possible by the new production technology.
The design is based on characteristics which can be transferred on hundreds of different bags and backpacks for an unmistakable brand approach.
