Qatego is a new customizable bathroom collection that channels pure tranquility. Developed for Duravit through a mutual respect for authentic materials, elegance and durability, Studio F.A. Porsche designed the series with ceramics and furniture. Inspired by stones gently polished by water, Qatego’s overall design showcases reduced design elements and tactile materials of wood, ceramics and natural stone which come together to create a harmonious bathroom design. Smooth fixtures with refined, round edges and arched sides complement sleek storage solutions with a linear design language.
Qatego’s furniture offers both open and closed storage options for added flexibility and functionality. Deployed by Duravit for the first time, unique natural stone panels – processed with the highest precision – can be paired with the collection’s countertop basins to create a striking floating console. The Italian stone, available in Carrara Marble, Travertine, and Lavic Stone, feature soft recesses to the left or right of the above counter basin that offer space for accessories such as a brush or soap dispenser. Other furnishing offerings include cabinets made from sustainable PEFC Wood with a range of matte finishes and wood tones such as Marbled Oak, Black Oak, Terra Oak for a robust color spectrum inspired by nature.
These surfaces are all anti-fingerprint while the cabinets and doors have tip-on opening and soft-closing features. The Qatego mirror offers additional ambient lighting with sensor-control and de-fogging options for enhanced personalization and wellness routines.
Mimicking the shape of the sinks, the freestanding Qatego bathtub is the most eye-catching ceramic in the collection. Made of DuroCast Plus mineral cast, this bathtub is ergonomically shaped to comfortably provide lower back support while sitting and has a striking velvety surface for ample relaxation.
Qatego’s toilets integrate seamlessly with the rest of the ceramics in the collection and offer pre-fitted hinges on the toilet seat for easy installation. The ceramics can be specified with the antibacterial HygieneGlaze coating to kill 90% of bacteria in 6 hours and 99.9% of bacteria in 24 hours.
