The RAVO E2 is a revolutionary brand-new electric sweeper that delivers unrivalled performance and an exceptional operating range to keep urban spaces clean in an environmentally-friendly manner, with zero emissions, low noise, and reduced water consumption.

What makes the RAVO E2 revolutionary is the way it manages energy.

Our engineers did not just replace a thermal engine with a large electric motor powered by a big battery pack. They have systematically redesigned the E2’s energy management system to make the most of every kW of energy, allowing the E2 to use a smaller and safer battery pack and giving operators the ability to clean for longer.

The E2 features 6 smaller tailored e-motors to power the sweeper’s functions: drive train, suction fan, hydraulic pump (steering, braking, etc.), left brush, right brush, and third brush. Each of these motors is independently controlled and used only when required. So, there is no need for a pump to be constantly running to power or cool the hydraulics. This results in a dramatic reduction of energy consumption (-20% compared to a thermal model).

Also revolutionary is the E2’s battery swap system. In less than two minutes, the battery pack of the sweeper can be easily changed for a freshly charged one, making the E2 capable of running single, double, or even triple shifts, enabling round-the-clock, low-noise, green sweeping. No other manufacturer can offer this. The patented swappable battery system also removes the requirement of fast charging; slower AC charging better preserves the battery’s State of Health (SoH) extending its lifespan. Importantly, the swap system allows for easy upgrades as battery technology evolves, making the E2 future-proof.

The E2’s innovations, 5 of which are patented, go further. Its unique push/pull brush system means that it can clean areas inaccessible to other sweepers. Its automatic brush/water start-stop system saves water (reducing waste-water entering the drainage system) and reduces brush wear by automatically stopping movement when the machine is at a standstill—for instance, at a red light.

Designed with operator comfort and ergonomics in mind, the E2’s cabin is heated by means of targeted heating of the seats, windshield and floor, efficiently heating without a fan blowing excess heat into the operating environment. Smart heating and cooling caps minimum and maximum temperatures to preserve energy. In addition to these features is the “sleep” function: if the operator is required to leave the machine, the machine will enter this mode with no command after 3 minutes to further preserve energy.

The E2 also features a number of truly game-changing software developments to enhance autonomy. A smart “econometre,” displaying kW consumption while the sweeper performs different tasks, is designed for operators to learn with the machine and improve their driving and operating behaviours to achieve even greater battery autonomy.
