Rheem® Maximus® is an ENERGY STAR® certified, innovative gas water heater designed to provide homeowners continuous hot water, includes smart features powered by EcoNet® technology, and MaxMode™ that provides up to 15% more hot water when demand is high—all while being as easy to install as a standard water heater. It is designed with a powerful, energy efficient burner that outperforms standard gas water heaters.

The 50-gallon Maximus® produces up to 2.5-times the hot water of a standard tank, ensuring a continuous supply of hot water to meet household demands all while reducing energy usage up to 36% and NOx emissions up to75% for a cleaner environment. It is equipped with side water connections for use with a space heating hydronic air handler, eliminating the need for a second tank or furnace.

Designed for homeowners’ comfort and safety, Maximus® features the LeakSense™ Leak Detection System, which detects any leak—large or small, internal or external—in less than 15 seconds. It alerts the homeowner through the EcoNet® App and the on-unit display. With the LeakGuard™ Auto Water Shut-off Valve Kit, Maximus® can stop leaks before they become a problem, limiting leaks to no more than 20 ounces.

Rheem® Maximus offers easy installation with a built-in condensate neutralizer, certified for multiple termination configurations, easy front access to connections, combined PV and PDV, and zero clearance on the sides and back for flexible placement options.

Replacing a standard gas water heater is seamless with Maximus®, featuring a 1/2″” NPT gas connection, 3/4″” NPT water inlet and outlet, 3/4″” condensate drain connection, and side water connections for space heating applications. The unit comes with a factory installed temperature and pressure relief valve for added safety.

The LCD Display includes an integrated water leak sensor and provides system health alerts with an audible alarm. Smart features allow homeowners complete control from a smartphone via Wi-Fi connection and the EcoNet® App.
