The Safety Inspection Robot’s features are customizable as it is designed with modules that are convenient to be repaired. The cover of the robot is shaped tightly in order to avoid creating blind spots for senors, thus enabling accurate detection to increasing productivity. The exterior, which emphasizes the technological capabilities, fits in seamlessly as part of the Smart Factory.
The robot performs maintenance tasks at Hyundai Motor’s Smart Factory in Singapore. With 3 cameras, it detects and notifies users about issues concerning pressure valves and gauges, switch boards, and foreign objects on the floor, such as stray bolts, nuts, and spills. The robot, which is equipped with 4 PnD modules under its base, conducts such activities while avoiding obstacles.
The Safety Inspection Robot naturally raises its head in the same direction as the camera, in order to detect from further distances. Four cylinders, which appear to be leg-like, emphasize the presence of the PnD modules while protecting the robot from external collisions. Ventilation holes and covers tightened with bolts on both right and left sides to protect from the factory environment.
This is the only robot that can inspect gauges, valves, etc. behind narrow fences. It corrects false readings caused by human error, and also reports any missed contaminants on the floor. With 3 cameras placed at different heights, the robot detects and notifies users about issues concerning pressure valves and gauges, switch boards, and foreign objects on the floor, such as stray bolts, nuts, and spills.
The Safety Inspection Robot, which is equipped with 4 PnD modules under its base, conducts such activities while avoiding obstacles such as the many AGVs and AMRs which deliver automotive parts.
