The “SOLUS TA51a” is Grand Touring All-Season tire developed for drivers of compact cars, passenger sedans, crossovers and SUVs looking for a reliable daily driver joined with a luxuriously quiet experience. Targeting dependable performance in wet and dry conditions, the “Solus TA51a” aims to deliver Kumho’s combination of ride comfort, low noise and all-season traction, even in light snow.
“SOLUS TA51a” tires feature a high-grip silica compound molded into an asymmetric tread pattern designed to maintain traction in all weather conditions. Technological advances, such as the noise-canceling ribs integrated directly into the tire’s grooves dissipate road sounds. Three-dimensional chamfered edges of the tread blocks take advantage of the tire’s natural deformation under load to maximize tread contact. Quad circumferential grooves help expel water to resist hydroplaning, while high 3-D sipe density enhances both wet weather handling and wintertime snow traction.
The tire will be sold with a 65.000 mileage warranty on sizes with an H-speed rating and above and a 75.000 mileage warranty on T-speed rated sizes.
“SOLUS TA51a” is equipped with the latest pattern noise reduction technology. Using a unique patented technology called “Noise Canceler,” the air flow concentrated in the tire grooves while driving is reduced. As a result, 0,7~1,1% noise reduction when “Noise Canceller” is applied in the pattern noise frequency band. In addition, through aerodynamic profile design, the product was designed with an optimal profile to minimize the air resistance that occurs while driving. Consumers can easily recognize this through the appearance of the product.
By applying internationally accepted symbols to the tire design, an intuitive design that does not require a product manual is utilized for each tire performance element. The tire tread wear rate is visually expressed three-dimensionally.
Through this tire design, consumers who use the product can intuitively purchase and use the product without a language barrier. Furthermore, consumers can safely use tires, which can have the effect of reducing the rate of traffic accidents caused by tires.
