The SUPER73-K1D electric balance bike is designed to address the challenges 4-8-year-olds typically face when learning to ride a bike for the first time, emphasizing safe riding and self-assurance. SUPER73 anticipated every bump in the road with its first-in-class, innovative regenerative braking, durable, puncture-resistant battery, and an intuitive, color-coded twist throttle.
The basic idea of regenerative braking is when a rider releases the throttle, the vehicle will use the electric motor to flow current back into the battery, slowing down the vehicle and charging the battery. This means longer lasting brakes, more range on the battery and an inherent safety measure put in place to further protect the youth who can modulate speed with the throttle alone.
Furthering the safety protocols and technological innovation, the K1D features a Lithium Iron Phosphate battery that is thermal-event resistant, which allows riders to safely charge their battery in any weather conditions. The battery charges in 45 minutes, which is exponentially faster than the typical four-hour charge and has two times the battery life than existing competitions, making it a one-of-a-kind on the market.
The K1D’s design was influenced by 80’s BMX and Motocross culture to create a neo-retro balance bike with a 60-minute play time, offering a wide array of vibrant colorways with a design focused on comfort and assurance of rider safety and performance.
The K1D comes with a motorcycle- and motocross-inspired seat style, with a high-end finish and design, along with exclusive features including a hexagon pattern on the gum wall tires and the handlebar grip. The throttle comes with a red twist handle, making it highly visible and clearly communicates control input to new riders.
