With the increasing demand for hybrid work, people tend to have a laptop alongside other devices such as tablets. A laptop is powerful enough to do heavy work. While a tablet is more suitable for light office or entertainment because it’s light and easy to use. The designers wanted to be able to integrate the two devices together, take advantage of their respective strengths to make them work together.

This philosophy led to the creation of the ThinkBook Plus5 Hybrid. It’s a hybrid laptop with dual x86 and Arm architectures, as well as dual windows and Android operating systems.

The display part can be completely detached from the station part. The arm architecture and Android system are placed here, and a full X86 architecture with Windows system is built into the station part. As a result of the design, Plus Gen5 offers users five modes. In addition to being used as a laptop, its unique hybrid mode allows to stream Android into Windows in a separate app, enabling dual systems to work together. In green mode, the base can transform into a keyboard, providing a productivity tool for the Android tablet. When the display part is detached, it can be used as a standalone Android tablet device or as a wireless monitor for the Windows Station part.

Plus5 is like a magic box with endless possibilities, allowing users to flexibly switch between these modes in a variety of scenarios in the most suitable way to increase productivity.

Thanks to the unique mini bar hinge design, Plus Gen5 offers an excellent user experience. The unique self-locking mechanism realizes the quick separation or combination of the two parts smoothly, without additional detaching and attaching structures and complex operations of the user. The magnetic lifting table system with automatic alignment helps the two devices to automatically capture the position of their ports when they are close to each other and accurately connecting, which greatly improves the user experience.

Plus Gen5 has a simple and clean form and involve lots of eco-friendly materials to practice Lenovo’s commitment to sustainability.
