Tori is an innovative, impactful designer task series, created with the kind of attention to integrated design and function that’s uncommon in the market. Tori’s unique signature wraparound back is more than a distinctive detail—it’s the embodiment of purposeful functional design. The curved back provides natural designed-in lumbar support. An optional adjustable lumbar is also available. Tori comes loaded with ergonomic features including multiple synchro mechanisms, height-only or 4D arm adjustments, a seat slider as well as accessibility options that support a wide range of users. Tori is ideal for tasking in private offices, workstations, meeting rooms, conference rooms and work-from-home workspaces. Imagined by designer Claudio Bellini whose design expresses the harmony of beauty and efficiency, Tori boasts a warm, versatile style with soft curves, and an elevated, intentional aesthetic. In designing Tori, Bellini sought to reinvent the way the mesh or fabric interacted with the plastic frame. He used the functional side of the mesh and fabric—providing lumbar support—in Tori’s design code.
Tori is available in high back or mid back, mesh or upholstered in a variety of frame and mesh colors. Task stools are also available.
Tori embodies impactful design: a true marriage of aesthetics and ergonomics for an elevated seating experience that goes beyond comfort to inspiration. Tori debuts with a new mesh collection, designed by Bellini with a tech look that synchs with 2023’s clean design consciousness.
The mesh comes in multiple muted pastel colors and has a performance element, providing movement and support. Tori comes standard with a 300 lb. rating but offers heavy duty options with 350 and 400 lb. ratings across multiple shifts. Tori is backed by 9to5 Seating’s limited lifetime warranty which warrants fabric and foam for five years and all moving parts for a lifetime.
9to5 Seating practices vertical integration and manufactures most of its chair components. Vertical integration manufacturing allows 9to5 Seating to control quality, costs and sustainability. The components are made of 60% recyclable materials. Tori follows circular design which includes the right materials, few components, long lifespan, design for disassembly and low weight. These five criteria points have a particular focus on climate, resources and health. Disassembly instructions are available on the website. Ensuring our designs not only keep working, but are treasured, is something we feel responsible for. After all, there is no point in making sustainable products, if they are quickly thrown away.
