Trove Features were created from sixteen original paintings to create non-repeating designs on a grand scale for feature walls.
“Whist” is a distant cloudscape that echoes in a second palette as “Lucent.” “Coronado” is named for the Spanish explorer who discovered the pigmented layered rock formation, known as the Painted Desert.
“Luxor” retraces the road leading to the Valley of the Kings, an ancient passageway hiding unknown treasure to be found at one’s own peril.
“Eclipse” honors the celestial event of astral mechanics and the passing shadows of opposing elements.
“Sound” presents the depth and silence of a water ripple on a grand scale.
“Tennessee” alludes to a particular place in our collective imagination, created by legendary playwright Tennessee Williams.
“Wenatchee” is an enchanted forest of ferns in the early morning mist, begun as a cyanotype.
“Driftwood” depicts the character of wood transformed by its journey in the salty seas.
In a second color palette for “Torrent” it becomes a rush of color and dissonance and something entirely different.
“Meter” portrays the tempo, tone, and rhythm of the act of painting.
“Tilth” honors the serenity of an uninterrupted meadow of grass, areas now requiring protection in our over-industrialized world.
“Malibu” weaves a tapestry created by layers of ocean waves.
“Acacia” portrays the imperfect intricacy of nature’s geometry. “Oktas” paints the pageant of colors reflected in the skies at sunset.
“Lisse,” “Whorl,” and “Anemone” study the extraordinary color and momentary beauty of flowers which lay the foundation for our design desire and vision, for what we want to create, for what we want to make in human-made iterations that provide function and purpose for everyday living.
Trove Features honors the precious natural resources we must now protect to assure the continuance of life as we know it.
