Designer statement from Vanessa DeLeon:
A big part of my inspiration for this collection stemmed from surrealism, which encompasses the element of surprise. Many think about lighting as a piece of jewelry that dresses up the space. I think of lighting as a piece of artwork that complements a room.

Inspired by physical form and a sense of surrealism, the Venere Collection by Vanessa DeLeon for Kalco Lighting elicits curiosity for lighting as art. Characterized by a gentle, extended hand and delicate details, the collection is crafted in cast solid brass, features advanced LED technology, and is adorned with Allegri Crystal’s exclusive, precision-cut clear Firenze Crystal drops and bobeches.

The Venere Collection consists of a 1-tier and 2-tier chandelier along with a matching 2-light wall sconce and is available in historic brass and pewter. Venere is part of the Ilumine Collection, a collection of pendants, sconces, and chandeliers by Vanessa DeLeon for Kalco Lighting.

Vanessa DeLeon’s inspiration is rooted in her cultural composition. Her award-winning work combines modern, stylized designs with classic décor. Inspired by her Cuban roots, DeLeon’s innovative sensibility combined with a keen eye for detail resulted in her signature design style, “Glamilistic,” where she combines streamlining with minimalism resulting in a rich, glamorous styling.
