Vuse Pro is a compact and connected e-cigarette pod system. The designers needed to capture the expression of the Vuse DNA, hinting to a future aesthetic direction, whilst conforming to the existing pod system architecture, the device is backwards compatible, reducing waste. During in depth consumer research, it was identified that tracking through a connected app would have a positive impact for users looking to see their usage. This feature has driven the design of the iconic lens detail, which conveys connectivity and intelligence. The smart ‘hidden until lit’ LED interface indicates battery, charging, device usage and connectivity.

The brief was to use technology to provide adult tobacco smokers with a potentially reduced risk* alternative to traditional cigarettes.

Designed to reduce the complexity of refilling, with magnetic pods clipping in and out easily. LED and haptic feedback communicate battery life. A safety lock can help to prevent unauthorised use and users can adjust power, track usage or even locate their misplaced device all through a smartphone app.

Vuse Pro is created from a high-quality piece of extruded aluminium, machined to add the fine details, then finished with a fine bead blasting to give the device a refined tactile quality.

Vuse Pro is available in a range of on-trend colors, selected for their relevance to the Vuse consumer while staying true to the brand identity. Careful selection and development of the colors was made to bring a level of vibrancy not previously possible with the anodising process.
