

The Walker Hall Graduate Center at UC Davis illustrates the multiple educational, economic, and environmental benefits derived from harvesting the embodied carbon and culture of existing structures. The project transformed a vacant, seismically unsafe ninety-five-year-old building at the core of the University of California Davis campus into an inclusive, low-carbon graduate student center and general assignment active learning hub.
