Cavo is more than a guest chair. It’s a high-design seating solution that delivers multipurpose convenience in spaces where design matters. Created by leading Italian designer Claudio Bellini, Cavo delivers a touch of elegance and real performance that makes it perfect for corporate, healthcare, and education. With models including guest, stool, and bariatric, Cavo is an adaptable enterprise solution, from the café to the classroom, collaboration spaces to meeting rooms. As an enterprise-wide solution, Cavo is infinitely customizable. From all plastic, upholstered seats, or fully upholstered models, choose silver or black finishes for frames, with or without arms, and gray or black padded urethane arms.
The inspiration for Cavo comes from the idea of combining visual and physical comfort together. Its shape is designed to create visual appeal and convey comfort through ergonomics. Another goal was to stand out from the other side chairs and create a piece of furniture that would evoke emotion and interest. Cavo has many design accents that add to its elegance including an outer lower back element that hides the connection points of the back to the frame. This textured outer back provides a contrast to any upholstery while enhancing the visual appeal of the chair. Cavo’s contoured seat and curved back not only add appeal and flair to any workspace, but they also provide ergonomics and long-term comfort.
It’s engineered for durability and cleanability while being as reliable as it is fashionable. The wallsaver frame design prevents scuffing, while the edge-to-edge under-seat cover enables easy stacking. Designed for high-traffic environments, Cavo was created to withstand frequent thorough cleaning with healthcare cleaners and bleach. It’s also a game-changer when it comes to access thanks to a variety of weight capacity options—including a 350 lb. weight rating for guests and stools and a 750 lb. weight rating for bariatric models. Cavo is backed by 9to5 Seating’s limited lifetime warranty.
9to5 Seating practices vertical integration and manufactures most of its chair components. Vertical integration manufacturing allows 9to5 Seating to control quality, costs, and sustainability. The components are made of 60% recyclable materials. Cavo follows a circular design that includes the right materials, few components, long lifespan, design for disassembly, and low weight. These five criteria points have a particular focus on climate, resources, and health. Disassembly instructions are available on the website. Ensuring our designs not only keep working but are treasured, is something we feel responsible for.
