The new RAPAX from BHS-Sonthofen combines design and functionality in a powerful pre-shredder. The versatile, robust and easy-to- maintain machine for the recycling and waste disposal industry is perfectly suited for processing various metal fractions, commercial, industrial and construction waste.
High throughput is important in pre-shredding. In contrast to many other shredders, the center distance of the two shafts on the RAPAX has been deliberately selected to ensure that the tools do not interlock. This ensures an optimal infeed torque with minimal energy consumption at the same time. Mold and hopper solutions ensure flexibility at the highest level.
The high level of robustness and performance, as well as intelligence and efficiency, are reflected in the new industrial design of the BHS- Sonthofen RAPAX. Dominantly executed and dynamically designed bracing elements embody the power and torque strength of the machine, while the precise frame and formally integrated machine status displays depict the intelligence of the control system. The latter is further achieved through the intelligent detail solutions.
The RAPAX is designed so that wear parts such as the shafts and the tear-off table can be easily replaced: After removing the feed hopper, the tear-off shafts, which are equipped with a quick coupling system, are accessible for easy shaft replacement. In addition, the quick coupling is bolted in place so that the shafts can be changed without disassembling the gear unit. The interplay of dynamics and precision down to the detail level accentuates that this is a state-of-the-art and technically innovative machine. The design staging of the functional elements should be emphasized.
