MAXIMO, Modular outdoor sofa in recycled materials
Merging design and sustainability, MAXIMO is a modular sofa with a frame of regenerated resin and fabrics containing much recycled material that, starting with the single module armchair, allows you to create countless configurations quickly and easily.
Its clean, balanced lines extend horizontally, conveying a sense of depth and length. The recycled resin frame is solid and strong, but made aesthetically light with its modular triangular sections and rounded details.
It features large volumes, a deep and comfortable seat, and flexible and harmonious modularity thanks to the back and armrest fixing system.
The self-centring cushions also come in generous and cosy dimensions with their elegant textures and fabrics, partly regenerated, and high technical quality: high-performance to withstand being outdoors, removable and washable, they are available in four sophisticated colours. Combined with furnishing cushions with a wider pattern, in perfectly matching shades, they customise and give the sofa soft aesthetic appeal. The MAXIMO collection also includes a slatted low table and an accessory pocket that can be attached to the seat. Both are made of recycled plastic.
Its potentially endless modularity and huge assortment of colours emphasise the highly versatile design of MAXIMO, an outdoor living concept that spans from home furnishings to the hospitality sector. MAXIMO is a product of the Nardi’s “Regeneration” industrial programme for the production of outdoor furniture from used plastic.
The products in the Regeneration line, which is constantly being researched and developed, are made in a production plant designed with cutting-edge plant engineering technology.
Maximo is entirely “Made in Italy” and eco-friendly. It is made from recycled materials and is 100% recyclable with a very long life cycle. The polypropylene is in a pure form (free from other materials), so it can be separated according to its colour and then re-processed during the recovery stage, making it thus totally recyclable.
Nardi uses electricity exclusively from renewable sources, thanks to a contract that ensures a 100% green supply of energy. This electricity is certified by Guarantees of Origin (GO) issued by GSE (Gestore dei Servizi Energetici – Energy Services Manager), a company directly controlled by the Ministry of Economy and Finance to guarantee the renewable nature of resources.
At Nardi, continuous cycle production is used in order to minimise waste due to machine downtime. Swarf and scrap from the processing of polypropylene are fed back into the production cycle through a process of grinding.
Nardi has developed a partnership with PRS Return System, a company dealing with the logistics of used pallets for transporting polymers. The agreement allows the company to collect and feed used pallets back into the production/logistics cycle, in a quantity sufficient to receive the PRS Green Label every year in recognition of the work carried out to protect the environment.
Nardi is a member of Der Grüne Punkt, an internationally protected trademark and the first system in the world for recycling packaging and its use in line with a circular economy.
Our participation in this recycling system for packaging is confirmed on an annual basis by the Green Dot Eco Certificate, which provides scientific proof of our contribution to environmental protection.
MAXIMO meets the following industry standards: ISO 9001 Quality, OEKOTEX 100, Reach. MAXIMO fabrics are PFAS-free.
MAXIMO can be disinfected thoroughly, easily and frequently without ruining or fading its fabrics and materials.
Recycled polypropylene used for MAXIMO is non-toxic, antistatic, and highly resistant to weather conditions, breakage, and scratches. It is not a porous material, and it can therefore be cleaned with disinfectant or soap diluted in water.
We add anti-UV agents to the resin, in order to preserve maximum quality and colour brightness over time, and fibreglass to make it more effective. MAXIMO can be placed in very hot or cold as well as humid or saline environments.
