The avant-garde spirit of Dominique Imbert, artist, humanist and founder of the company, is reflected in each Focus fireplace. The Gyrofocus, which he designed in 1968, was the first steel, suspended fireplace with a 360°-pivoting hearth. This disruptive and visionary design has become iconic, today a legend in international contemporary design.
After decades of developing wood-burning fireplaces, followed by the more recent introduction of gas fuel, Focus is continuing to diversify energy types for its fireplaces, while retaining the original design that has made them such a success.
At Focus, a priority on design is coupled with technical feat. The Ergofocus, designed in 1983, is a perfect illustration. First created by Dominique Imbert as a wood burning fireplace, then converted to gas hence becoming the second suspended, pivoting gas fireplace in the world after the Gyrofocus (Good Design Award winner in 2022). If it still stands out by levitating above the ground, it is now powered by electricity!
Today, with the Ergofocus Holographik®, Focus has entered in the era of digital fire. The Holographik® fireplaces require no fuel supply, only an electrical socket, and produce no emissions. They can be installed just about anywhere, they are compatible with all interior projects, even the most daring designs whether for private homes, hotel rooms or public spaces. The length of the steel pipe is adaptable to all ceiling heights. There are no venting constraints or installation difficulties.
The Ergofocus Holographik® breaks new ground with an astoundingly realistic fire thanks to a holographic screen system with three-dimensional view of the flames, glowing embers bed, ceramic logs that look like wood, the familiar sounds of a crackling wood-burning fire, the dry diffusion of woody fragrances in the room, the gentle heat radiating from the steel pipe … most features being easily controlled and customised via a Focus app installed on any smartphone!
It is no wonder the Focus Holographik® technology is protected by a patent on 10 points of innovation.
Protecting the environment is a primordial concern for us all. Regulations in this area are growing increasingly strict, and the traditional fireplace sector is no exception. At the same time, new and renovated buildings are becoming more energy efficient, reducing the need for secondary heating. In this context, the Holographic fireplace is an answer for those who wish to enjoy the pleasure of fire while embracing sustainability.
The Ergofocus Holographik® responds to growing consumer demand for combustion-free heating solutions. It retains its iconic suspended design, but runs on electricity, simplifying installation and extending its range of application to all interiors and areas where fuel-burning appliances are restricted.
This fireplace features patented hologram technology and is a registered model with cTUVus certification. Made from 3mm steel, it comes in black, white, or custom colours. The 37 3/8-inch hearth rotates 80° and weighs 187 lbs. It produces 2,047 BTU/h of heat, includes a 10W speaker, and runs on 110V. A dry scent diffusion system uses cartridges lasting 75 hours, with 10 scents available. The product includes a 2-year warranty.
