Nirrin Atlas introduces breakthrough technology for pharmaceutical testing equipment. The Atlas value proposition is real time, accurate, reliable excipient and protein measurements to accelerate drug development timelines for releasing safe and effective drugs for patient care. Atlas has a high powered integrated tunable laser and optics. This cutting-edge technology is packaged with powerful data analytics delivering a fully automated quantitative report.
The testing workflow has been reduced to three simple steps. 1. Load Sample 2. Run Sample 3. Get data. Atlas will reduce time-to-answer from 3-6 weeks to 30-seconds. This allows the lab technician to get real-time measurements on excipients and antibodies throughout the downstream process. No dilution, sample prep, or assay development required. A single 15-microliter sample provides quick results for a wide range of drug substance concentrations and relevant excipients. This simplified workflow helps lab technicians keep pace with the dynamic conditions of bioprocessing.
The industrial design language is based on simplifying the workflow and improving the human experience. The Industrial designers took a complex set of components including laser, processor, touch display and internal components and arranged them in a simple easy to use configuration. The design teams did extensive ethnographic research and addressed several areas to improve the Atlas workflow. The lid has an ergonomic finger notch that clearly signals the correct “lift here” interaction.
The touch display is at an ergonomic angle best suited for the laboratory workbench. The display is located under the testing bed so that information can be viewed when the lid is open and while the sample is being applied. The form is based on a “core” theme.
The inner core is all one color and emphasizes where all the human interaction takes place. The inner core has a seamless high gloss surface that is designed for cleaning and spills. The designers removed unnecessary part lines where dirt and debris can collect. Every detail was scrutinized including integrating lighting into the lid that helps the lab technician apply the sample.
The outer protective shell is anodized aluminum. Aluminum is selected for its durability, cleanability and premium appearance. The Atlas “first read” has a soft silhouette that is iconic, friendly, and powerful.
